Dear Classmates,
BSHS Homecoming is September 18 & 19 this year. Our group
reunion which includes classes of 47, 48, 49, 50 & 51 will
be held that weekend, also. Yeah! Whoopee! I love these
reunions. ?
Friday, 18th
10:30 A.M. – Big Spring Mall
Restaurant
The Mall Manager is giving us a room across from the theater
for us to have registration. She also owns the Ice Cream
Shop which is where we will have lunch. The cost is $8.50.
We will pay her BUT we have to make a reservation with our
class representative.
4:00 P.M. - Parade
Jack Cathey is chauffeuring us for the parade, again. The
city
is working on Greg, Scurry and Main Streets. Hopefully, they
will finished by then. Bring your candy to toss to the
crowd.
After Parade
We will meet at the Big Spring Country Club (not La Posada
as previously announced)
for hors d’oeuvres.
This is a no-host event. We will pay
at the door
but we must make reservations with our class representative.
7:30 P.M. – Steer football game
Saturday, 19th
8:00 A.M. – Golf at the Big Spring Country Club. The green
fees are
$26.50 and carts are $11.00 for a total of $37.50.

9:00 – Registration at the Big Spring Country Club
10:00 - Tour of restoration projects
*As a result of a bond election, Gregg, Scurry, Main streets
and sidewalks are getting face lifts.
*Our old gym is now Life Church.
*The VA hospital, the home of a statue in honor of Medal of
Honor
recipient, George O’Brien.
*Settles Hotel
Meet at Howard College in the Cactus Room at 10:00. Tell
your
Class rep if you plan to go. Pat Simmons is putting this
together
for the classes of 43,44,45, & 46. Katy talked with her and
it’s okay if we tag long.
12:30 - Country Club for hamburger buffet
The buffet will be paid out of the group bank account.
Saturday Evening
Meet at Jody Nix's Stampede
on the Snyder Highway 350
There are two parts to the
evening, both at the Stampede:
Alcohol policy is BYOB and
your own setups.
Mixed drinks (the hard stuff) is not allowed as the Stampede
is not licensed for that.
Part 1: Dinner will be
catered. Meet at 5:45 pm for a 6:15 dinner seating.
The no-host dinner is $8.75 plus tax
and tip.
Reservations are required in advance
as the caterer has to know how many are to be fed.
Part 2: Dance to Jody Nix and
the Texas Cowboys
The Dance is $10 - no tax and tip
Chop Van Pelt and Jack
Baron are our co – emcees. Look out
world. Who knows what they’ll do. ?
Sunday, 20th
9:00 – Breakfast at Cowboy’s Restaurant
Pay at the door, but we must make reservation with our class
rep.
