Only two classes (1958 and 1978) are scheduled to have homecoming
reunions this year
because of a shortage of available motel rooms.

BSHS has set their Homecoming for September 12-13.
Check their web site for any details of events.

Crews are rebuilding the Big Spring Refinery 7 days a week, and
will be doing so for about 9 months or more. Repair crews, and other
construction crews, have reserved almost all motel rooms in this area for the
rest of this year. Each class (not the association) sets its own
homecoming date, although most accept the date observed by BSHS. By next year a lot of progress should be made on the revitalization of
downtown Big Spring,
including the Settles Hotel and the Ritz Theater, as well as many of the
surrounding lots which have
been bought for the purpose of rebuilding or remodeling. What is more
important, you will have
a place to stay.
