I just received the exes newsletter. My
husband, who graduated from Big Spring High,
passed away December 11th of last year (2007).
Ed taught at B.S.H.S for 31 years and was
English department head for a number of those.
We moved to Florida in 2000, where he taught for
another four years and where our younger son had
started a church.
A year after our son was called to pastor a
church in Grand Prairie, we moved there, too.
Ed taught at Temple Christian school until the
last school year before his death. He was
fighting advanced prostate cancer the last year
of his life.
Our two sons are both married and we have two
beautiful grandchildren; Ed got to see and know
both of them before he died. I'm thankful to
know where he's at and that I'll join him one
day. He was and is the love of my life.
Those of you who knew Ed know that he was the
master of puns and had a unique style of
teaching. I know I'm bragging, but I really
admired my hubby's ability to teach. Most
people in Big Spring know of Ed's death, but I'm
sure some forgot that he actually graduated from
B.S.H.S., too.
Thank you for reading this, which is more than I
intended to write.
