Joe Mark Conrad, 66, a retired electrician for Union Pacific Railroad, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at his home.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home [Fort Worth TX]. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials: Joe's memory may be honored with a memorial gift to the Benbrook Fire Department.

Joe Mark Conrad was born Nov. 1, 1938, in Big Spring. He served in the Marine Corps and worked as an electrician with Union Pacific Railroad, retiring after 36 years. He was the treasurer of the Union Employees Recreation Club and a volunteer fireman for Benbrook. He enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Iris Society and the Daylily Society for whom he served as the Bingo caller.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty. Survivors: Daughters, Bobbie and Michelle Conrad; mother, Elizabeth Stamps Grzelachowski; and companion and dear friend, Joy Wakeland.
