Born 08/26/1926, passed away peacefully in his sleep 05/02/2003. A loving husband, father,community volunteer and dedicated health care professional. Preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife of 31 years, Lynn Martin, four step-children Dennis, Scott, Kevin and Lori Anne Currans, seven grandchildren, his sister, Opal Jones of Mineola TX, his dear nieces and nephews Waylan, Candy, Joy and John as well as numerous friends and professional associates.
 
In his professional life, Mack served Parkland Hospital and UT Southwestern as a technologist and teacher in the Urology Department for 20 years. He especially enjoyed his interactions with the students, residents and faculty physicians in Urology and Radiology.
 
After retirement, he stayed active volunteering many hours of his time to activities with Goodwill Industries, the United Way, the Variety Club and the Special Education PTA of Dallas. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him and loved him.
 
His family would like to extend their eternal gratitude to Dr. Clyde Yancy for his wonderful care of Mack throughout the years.At his request and due to his love of the medical profession, Mack donated his body to UT Southwestern Medical Center to further contribute to medical education.
 
Details regarding a memorial service are pending.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Mack's name be made to Goodwill Industries Foundation Inc., 3020 North Westmoreland, Dallas, TX 75212.
